Challenge
Out of da Closet primarily focused on advertising the clothing and creating a strong online presence. With those tasks taking priority, Out of da Closet was in need of a more consistent and distinctive brand guide to follow since it was losing its distinction.
Solution
Speaking to the clinic and understanding their needs and wants, it was clear that they were adamant about including a rainbow in their logo, sticking to a brown and green colour palette, and an overall timeless look that's modern and fun. With those requests, I looked at competitors in the area as well as created a mood board to get started. Since Out of da Closet was an online business, it was important to create a distinct logo because that would be the profile photo on all social platforms and on other marketing material, like their stickers. Additionally, the colour palette was the next important task to focus on. I knew once I established a concrete colour palette it would make it easier for the company by allowing them to follow the set colour scheme to their Instagram feed and website.

EXPLANATION
It was important to the client to implement a rainbow in the logo to voice the business's value of inclusivity. Illustrated the smaller piece of the rainbow to resemble a closet door.
Used the brown in the colour palette on the smaller part of the rainbow to further push the idea of a closet.
Used the Sans Serif font, Helvetica, to give the modern yet friendly feel Out of da Closet was looking for.
